SOCCER

This year Gav was old enough to play soccer in the St. Anthony league, so that is how we spent the entire month of July.  I'm not gonna lie, watching 3-4 year olds try and play soccer is VERY entertaining.  I am amazed at the progress Gav made by the end.  The first couple of games he wouldn't leave his coach's side in the middle of the field unless he were goalie, which is where he would dance, pick grass, flex muscles, etc.  By the last couple of games he would actually run after the ball (or at least the kids around the ball) and he did score 2 goals.  But don't get me wrong, he was still throwing in an occasional somersault or getting lured in by the mud puddle like a typical kid.
Gav kicking the ball to start off the game.
This is the "see your mom with the camera so you think you need to stop and wave for the picture" pose.   (he's the one standing in front of the ref in the white shirt)
water break - all that running can wear a kid out

Looks like you have a soccer star in the making, I love that he would flex his muscles in the goal, what a cutie
