HAWAII

I was fortunate enough to be able to tag along with Cade when he had to go to Hawaii to help host a cyber security exercise.  It was really hard, but I thought I would take one for the team (haha).  We stayed in a beach house on the east side of Oahu and loved it!  The house was across the street from the beach access.  The beach wasn't a private beach, but felt like it because there were hardly any people there.  We did survive a tropical storm while we were there with our phones alerting us all night about flash flooding.  It did rain many of the days we were there, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time there.  (I had to limit how many pictures to post because I have way more that anyone would care to see)
Waikiki beach was crazy with people everywhere!!
 Dole Plantation
 Pearl Harbor

The military put on a private luau for us that was inside diamond head crater.  There is a lookout in the side of diamond head that was used for the military to shoot from during the war that we ate on.  This lighthouse is located just below the lanai that we ate on.

We got to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, which was pretty close to where our beach house was.  Once the anxiety subsided, I was able to enjoy all of the underwater life.
A couple of mornings we were there we would wake up about 5:30 a.m. to go watch the sunrise over the ocean.  It was so awesome and worth the early mornings.
The front yard of our beach house (lizards were everywhere)
We did get to go the PCC, but not allowed to take pictures during the show.  Instead, you get a picture of this hunk posed in front of a waterfall at the PCC.
The temple grounds were amazing.  Seriously, so beautiful.  This picture doesn't even show everything.

This is the group we went to Hawaii with along with a couple of the military men that helped host the exercise.
